I forgot how she lost the status, honestly I forgot pretty much the whole plot

If I remember correctly (I might be wrong) at the start of the story Evie had "Villaness quests" that she needed to do or bad things would happen to her. So after she started feeling bad for Elsa, she tried to not complete the tasks anymore which caused her family to be framed for some crime, thus losing their status as nobles.
