I feel like im too young to understand the maturity of their relationship, im a bit bothered by how many times rio lies to ruzumi or in general doesn't communicate that well with him, but tbh it's also beautiful how he eventually opens up to kuzumi more and more and improves as a character, i feel like u rarely see proper character development in stories these days in terms of mentally. sth that bothers me tho especially is when rio says he wants to hold on to kido then proceeds to chase after kuzumi w a love confession, that line totally threw me off and then their following interactions after that didn't feel right to me bc of what rio said abt kido. I almost wish it was a translation mistake, though given the context it was stated in it definitely wasn't. I understand Hido was a precious friend but saying you wanna hold onto sm u had slept w previously, whilst u r in love w sm else throws me off so badly. Would you not want to hold onto your lover? Like does he not trust Kuzumi's feelings? Self doubt is a realistic aspect of relationships irl though so i appreciate this representation, though that singular panel really undermined the 'love' portrayed in the following chapters for me. Even the very last chapter ending with him talking to him behind a door almost doesn't sit well w me that they don't communicate their appreciation for each other very well. It's overall a lovely story, i do wish it had been longer somehow bc i feel like my doubts would be cleared up if i understood the relationship better.
