I think mc wanted to make it so that ml doesnt like mc/avoid mc but as u can see it pretty much backfired
He knew what type of "character" was ml so he was scared but getting your back blown is waaay more important than living, so he took a risk.
bro knows this guy gonna kill him > is terrified of him for like 3 chaps > talks to him and he is like okay personality > not scared ever again. actually now he's horny for him (he's gonna kill him in the future tho)
