Not a princess and it wasn't the mother that ran away

Basically Duke Escar visited the Fable empire (the empire the fl is from) 17 years ago. He met the fl’s mother and they fell in love. The Duke promised to take mother and Ravi with him to the Gracia Empire (the empire that the Fl is currently at right now), he gave her the ring as symbol of his promise. But he got into an accident before he could take the mother and Ravi with him. The accident caused him to suffer amnesia, making him forgot about the mother and his promise. The mother was unaware of the accident and the memories and thought he tricked her or abandoned her. She left heartbroken and pregnant.

A few years after giving birth to the Fl, she met Duke Sorfel and he fell in love her after she saved him. They married and Fl and Ravi become the adoptive children of the Duke Sorfel. Duke Escar married another woman and had a son (I’m pretty sure his wife is dead, seriously though why are all the wives of the Dukes dead), he also has an adopted son, that he adopted from his relatives (I think, can’t remember if he was a relative or not).

He believes the Fl is possible his daughter since she has his family heirloom ring, she claimed that her father gave it to her mother. She age is around the same time he was in the Fable Empire. Plus she has his eyes.
