The author doesn't care about this character's backstory, they just want to hint at us that his life now (being tortured and imprisoned) is MUCH better than a 9 to 5
he better than me i would’ve changed the trajectory of haesoos life right then and there. swear every time we hear about tae’s life growing up, i just go what the fuck bruh?? how did he not attempt to end himself multiple times he’s so strong
and i mean this seriously with no disrespect… it feels like the author is giving him trauma porn only to appeal ml to him. not to give tae himself depth, but only to make haesoo look better after all that he’s faced. tae left all his support systems, involuntarily, through constant betrayal!! the only person genuinely there for him is his “brother” who he can’t even confide in too get this dude out of this verse now
