So wild fucking theory but I think that Guwon is not originally human. That man is too stupid and too sweet and too generally terrifying. I think that he (again wild theory) is the cat from the panel at the hospital. It was a BLACK cat. Guwon has black hair and has arm tattoos with the palms not blackend, looking like a cats paw. He has a eye scar, which usually stray cats have in media.
And why doesn't he have any memory of his past??? At first he seems like someone who has been in prison or a gangster but nothing? Maybe there's a reason...
Usually artist who make manga and manhwa already have a lot to draw so why add and unnecessary cat to the panel???
I think Guwon was originally that stray cat, always sitting up with Heo at the hospital, one day passing only for whatever spirit (probaby the moon) gave him a chance to be human (we all know we love a good reincarnation plot) and his one test to remain human was to get Heo to fall in love with him, leaving him with one thing to remember his vow, a line of snitches on his neck to remember his death.
I mean, he has no memory, has no consept of human education, no past to be accounted for, but one person he is drawn to. Someone who he treats like no one else he's known.
And that's why there is an apocalypse, why the world is going through one disaster after another, because the balance of the universe is unbalanced until he can be fully human, or perish trying.
