Happy, MC deserves it after all this.
However I just don't see one with the ML in the picture.
Maybe an ending with just the MC, sat by himself on the beach looking over his past in his mind. Then getting up and walking off the screen into a new life without any toxicity in his life.

A bittersweet ending. MC and ML live their own lives separately and are healing from their past traumas. No lovey-dovey happy or absolutely tragic ending.
Happy ending for sure i hope they could understand each other and end up togheter but every time there are a new update they get more distante
I feel like there is no good ending to these types of kidnapping stories
The only one I could imagine is MC being saved, ML being imprisoned, and maybe when they are both many years in the future meeting again, starting over
