THE FMC SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE QUEEN JUST LIKE SHE WAS IN HER LAST LIFE

Another one of those 'If the main MC is a girl she cannot and will not desire power in any form' stories. Why do nearly all manhwa applaud women for not desiring any kind of recognition or power for all of the things they worked so hard to achieve, why do they sideline everything they have done and don't reward them with anything other than a 'Powerful Husband' I fucking hate it.

The MC single handedly stopped brainwashings, gathered intel, put together people who can help her, stopped multiple assasinations, went and fought the 'Big Baddie Witch' then came out of it unscathed and with another ally, and you are going to tell me she is 'LAZY' so she 'DOESN'T WANT AUTHORITY'. The auhors will cling onto the notion of laziness so hard to not give their fmc power at the end of their story when their fmc never show an ounce of laziness throughout the entire story. I will rip my hair out if I get another one of these bullshit stories.

THE FMC SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE QUEEN JUST LIKE SHE WAS IN HER LAST LIFE, SHE DESERVED IT AND SHE WORKED FOR IT WHILE THE OTHER 2 ROYALS WERE SITTING ON THEIR ASSES AND TWIDDLING THEIR THUMBS

    Bro she didn’t WANT it
I feel like that was very, very clear in this story. Being a leader takes a lot of energy and time. Girly wants to be free with no more responsibilities. There is literally nothing wrong with that

Now ask yourself the question why did she not want it? Because she doesn't want responsibilities? She took them on one by one for the entirety of the whole story, saved the entire nation, took on that responsibility blah blah blah... and in the end it's confirmed that she married the blondie boy which means she will still have the responsibility of a household, she will still need to lead when he goes to war and she will still be responsible for making heirs and raising them. SO SHE STILL HAS RESPONSIBILITY AND NONE OF THE POWERS OF A QUEEN WHICH SHE COULD HAVE BEEN!!!!!

I think the main reason she doesn’t want it is tied to the trauma from her past life.

I also have a feeling that if her husband went to battle, she would too, since she’s one of the empire’s best swordswomen. I doubt she’d just stay at home managing household matters. Everything she’s done so far in the story, taking on responsibility, has been about saving the people she loves—then leaving to finally live for herself.

Yeah she has trauma about it from her past life but she has overcome everything else so why does the author not let her get over this too.

Now that I'm calmer I can confidently say that I'm not pissed at her, I am pissed at the author. It feels like these rofan authors are so scared of giving their fmc actual rewards for the journey they underwent. To me this feels like odysseus going through 20 years of gruelling journey only to come back and give up on penelope and his throne to become a peasant. Or Sir Gawain going on the journey and going through the tests of 7 virtues, then just letting himself be killed.

The story arc should have given her space to grow into either a witch or to be a queen wih how everything was set up. But no, a the end of it all she gives everything up and is rewarded with nothing. AND according to history ,according to the last chapter, no one even recognizes all she has done to keep everyone alive. It is just grueling work for a hero and no reward which just sucks.

If it was going to end like this I would have much preferred the Witch winning and getting her revenge. At least that would be satisfying and more justifiable than this lackluster story arc.

Hmm, I see your point. It would have been really cool if instead of just being called a witch, she actually became one and started their revival. I also find it odd how the gods were only active during the early days. They mention the people’s devotion to them, but they didn’t do anything after the first king. There’s no real opposition from a pope or priestess, either that they could have worked through.

Yeah I agree, they set up the god plotline and did nothing with it. Even a bit of interference from the temple would have gone a long way to make it feel better written. I would have loved for her to turn into a witch and start an age of witches or something... Since the witches in this story were truly innocent and were prosecuted for no reason. Also the last witch coming from the bloodline of the one who killed them would have suited the narrative too!
