some have to stop acting like it’s an easy choice dont pmo rn

the mc isn’t in the wrong for not wanting to choose between the ml’s alters — how could he? both are still him. he genuinely cares for both, and choosing one would feel like killing the other.

ppl are saying “just let them merge into one” but that’s not the same thing at all — if they merge, neither of them truly remains, and that’s what makes it so cruel. the mc isn’t just being stubborn — he doesn’t want to erase the people he loves.

this isn’t just “two sides of the same coin”—it’s two people. the story makes it so clear that for the mc, these are two separate people, both real, both loved. if you don’t get why the mc is struggling, then you haven’t really been paying attention.

Thank you, I keep seeing people complain about that choice but they are two different people. They’re not the same and they never will be and even if they “merge” into one it wouldn’t be the same because the mc knows their personalities and the little things that make them different. To say get rid of one (I don’t even think that can happen they’ll just be doormat) is basically killing the other alter. There is no win win situation!

I'm actually glad that they didn't merge. It's a very realistic portrayal of DID too. The MC came to love them both in their own ways.
I really agree with your words there!

exactly !! no matter what he does, he’s going to lose someone he cares about. there was never a “right” choice to begin with.

i really liked how they portrayed did—it felt realistic and respectful. the way the mc loved them both as individuals made it even more meaningful. i’m so glad the story didn’t go with the “merging fixes everything” route !!!
