I also don't get why they hate the FL. I really like an FL that has weakness and is not perfect with anything. I understand why she's acting like that so I cannot really hate her. We cannot just judge a story based on how you feel towards a character.
LITERALLY OMG!! They rlly don’t care about the circumstances of the fl and only pity the men in the story like….it rlly pisses me off and it’s not only for this manhwa but others too…always disregarding what the FL is going through and the reasons why she makes such choices and bashing her for not treating the men the way readers want her to treat him/them…..always have something to say about FL when all her actions are valid…just say you read with your eyes closed or perhaps you’re just misogynistic.. I might get jumped for it but these people really give me that vibe…always too focused on the male characters in the manhwa while completely ignoring what FL is going through which results in the way she acts… she isn’t even treating that guy badly like these weirdos are saying and he clearly doesn’t gaf they dtm for nothing lmfaooo like he clearly likes it!
can you guys just like read a little deeper into why the FL is even acting this way towards Roger rather than just taking it at face value that she’s an idiot and thinking there is a simple solution where she is just honest with him and they live happily ever after? like home girl was thrown into this game, she had this vain hope of escape just to hold onto her sanity, she had NO ONE to trust, and she also was living with the fact that every single person in this fantasy world wants to rape her basically. she is terrified, and the one person she could lean on and felt genuine affection for, she basically killed his mom (yeah she didn’t want to and no it wasn’t her fault but objectively the mom wouldn’t have died if she wasn’t affected by the FL’s charm + now we know the FL’s dad set the fire, who is also subjected to her charm, so she kinda double caused Roger’s mom’s death LOL). the FL is so terrified of her own ability that she knows Roger would forgive the FL (whether that’s through his own thought or under her influence) that she can only push him away. I personally would feel disgusted if I had the ability to force someone to love me even after I caused their mom’s death. the FL, who is just a normal person irl, has seen so much death and violence that she doesn’t want to affect the person she loves with it. imagine if you killed the mom of the person you loved, they forgive you, and then you drive your lover to their death EVEN IF ITS NOT YOUR FAULT THEN IT STILL HAPPENS REGARDLESS. aside from protecting Roger, then she’s also protecting herself, because she would completely break and lose her mind if she had to be the cause of Roger’s suffering. it’s a lot easier for her to cope with ruining his life if he hates her than still loving her despite everything she’s done to him. I don’t think it’s about her ruining his life and then not taking responsibility, but rather doing what’s within her own power to prevent herself from corrupting Roger even further by driving him away (but it’s dramatic irony because she doesn’t know how this just made him more obsessed and only we the audience know). basically our home girl can’t win in any situation so please don’t be so judgmental
