Like we know seo-in said "why cant yeongwoon understand hes always been like this" in s1 but now we know its not true. Hes just doing everything he hated in jaewon. Ofc what he did is irredeemable, all that manipulation, violence, sa... :( but i still hope this author wont make this like other red flags like oh he had so much trauma thats why hes a bitch to mc now hes a green flag! the art and characters are compelling fr despite how messy the storytelling was lmfao. im expecting a lot more too, but i have a feeling he’ll be another basic badly written “complex” and heavily traumatized top who crimes are miraculously forgiven. i need true redemption with him kissing the ground mc walks on and never forgiving himself for what he’s done
and you took the words right out of my mouth! i believe in character regression, and see it as it’s signs of self-sabotaging or self harming. HOWEVER with the bond these two had… it felt completely out of nature considering he’s directing this much unhealed pain onto someone he considers a miracle? i hope he finds the real unfiltered truth about mc too!! it’s unfair and confusing ml sensed something terrible already with the abusive dad, the debt, and mc being emancipated- yet did not offer any support or kindness from the beginning
ive been an avid fan of this story even though its not the best written. however the art is beautiful, and the ml is exactly my type. so i mean it when i say… i really wish ml’s actions were toned down in season one
i went back and started this from beginning to now for a refresher, and season two has given us so much more substance in comparison. but it makes seo-in look even worse and not redeemable. i already accepted and know he’s gonna be the ml no matter what and im fine with that. BUT my problem is that i cant conceptualize why he’d hurt mc this much when all he’s done is be the kindest, sweetest person and soul to him. meanwhile dealing with an abusive, controlling parent. with what we know about his character it’s strange seeing how he inflicted so much pain onto his lover, knowing there’s way more to why he left in the first place. the cruelty was more shocking going back and seeing it again tbh
