The novel wasn't discontinued. The author died.

It was up to 500 or 600 chapters when his death happened.

It's unknown (to us) what the plan is for the webtoon. Maybe there was a draft planned for the ending or they plan to leave it at that spot...or maybe make up an ending.

Maybe they don't even know yet and just on waiting until they get to that spot. But it will be several more seasons before that happens.

Was the novel closer to the ending? I hope it’s the case then some predictions can be made TT

Well I do know the novel was discontinued by 600 chpaters is still long
