At this point, I don't even know what to say about the trajectory of this story. The top is so childish, selfish, and immature I can't even get excited that he's chasing the bottom now. Mainly because it feels too much like he's only doing it because there's another guy interested in the bottom. If you want to be friends with someone, and can't accept their romantic feelings, perhaps be a true friend and let them go. Maybe, just maybe if you do remain friends, and somehow develop feelings later on, you're mature about it and have an adult conversation and court them properly.
The bottom is no better in my opinion though. He had a choice to dissolve the friendship when he was rejected, or to give up on his feelings and remain friends. He chose to hold on to those feelings (in hopes of a different outcome), and now that a decade has past, he wants to be upset that the relationship he wanted didn't happen.
"Fuck buddies" is his own selfish way of getting what he wanted; which if it was just about the sex... what's with all the pettiness? Why try to hurt your "friend" by blowing him off, or being cold toward him, and making all of it his fault without accepting any responsibility? If you say you're truly in love with someone, but are willing to just fuck, then you really can't be mad if they take you up on the offer when they already let it be known they aren't looking for a relationship with you. Doesn't make him the best of people for continuing to have sex with him knowing how he feels about him, but at this point, neither of them are making good life choices.
Now it just seems like the bottom's "repaying" all of the hurt that he felt by being rejected initially. True, the top is being a total child about it, but it's so typical of these "silver spoon" types used to getting everything they want in life that it's nauseating. You'd think by this point in the story, author-nim would give the boy some sort of enlightening moment to realize his feelings and how to articulate them better than a caveman kicking up dust and throwing a tantrum, but alas, he's just slamming doors and worrying about MC being with another guy. If you don't know how to write a jealous top, don't try.
The 2nd ML is better off finding a new crush because who would want to be caught up with someone who is still harboring feelings for their "friend", and is sleeping with them while saying they want to end things. Feelings are complicated, but seriously the writing is just making me annoyed. Wanted to see them finally work things out, and actually talk but I doubt I'll keep reading this.
Ever read a story that just infuriated you...
