Yea the only reason they exist basically is so agrona can use Cecile s powers in his world. For her to be reincarnated her soul needed some kind of tie to the other world so he just used the closest people to her, grey and nico. He made a mistake tho, he meant to reincarnate the 2 of them as his people but failed and Arthur was born as an xD

I dropped this a while back because the story was dragging. I'd read the novel until the point of the Elf Kingdom has been atk. Elijah(I think his name is) appears all of a sudden, only to be a gray childhood friend reincarnated, too.
