I would like to make a clarification. When I judge VF characters I completely disregard the context in which they operate. It is a world filled with crimes and hateful actions that I hate; Is a dystopian world that I see only as a narrative frame created by Sensei and that I can not change. A world I hate. My comments on Feilong, Asami Akhito etc ... relate only and exclusively to the erotic and psychological dynamics that involve them. Without this abstraction it is impossible for me to evaluate VF because all the characters are negative: Feilong is no exception, indeed.
I focus only on some dynamics and some aspects that concern the various characters and which, for me, in an idealized manner, represent tropes: Fei's emotional insecurity and his need to feel protected, Asami's initial coldness and His promiscuous discovery of being able to experience feelings, Akihito's moral doubts, Yoh's moral doubts divided between love and sense of duty, etc. Only these aspects are considered. My preference for Fei comes from the fact that his emotional disorientation seen in HL impressed me. Otherwise, if I should judge not only these aspects but VF characters in the global sense I have no difficulty saying that nobody, nobody shines, no one is the sun, no one is a prize. Only Tao, Takato and Kou are "normal" characters !!!!

I have the same problem with you because of that I bought audiobook version, I listen it on the road and before sleep. I don't recommend you to listen it before sleep though, recently I started to have really weird dreams.(≧∀≦)(≧∀≦)
