Yeah, ML’s whole “redemption” arc felt really rushed and barely touched on. It doesn't seem like he did much to actually make up for his past mistakes. It felt more like he just realized MC couldn’t talk about anything because of the restrictions, and then thought, “Well, I guess I love him, so that makes up for my sob story past.” After that, he just went back to his old ways once he found out MC was a “prophet.” I really thought things would improve after MC woke up from his coma, but instead, everything just kind of fizzled out into mediocrity.
Or so it feels with these fast paced stories, they'll literally jump from one event to the other without clarifying anything and the emotions too feel so all over the place.
But well at least the ml seems stable now and nice to Eugene. And it seems the story might be coming to an end which is pretty cool
