I could be thinking too much but since we don’t know how he died yet, it’s possible he faked his death in order to manipulate the mic into doing his dirty work for him and getting the rubies and the green hair guy knows which is why he isn’t giving him a lot of information on the “job” or telling him who they are doing this for
I also think he's not actually dead.. maybe that's who J is getting his intel from
He conned his 'brother' too. Not sure what for but he conned everyone else in his life so it was prob second nature at this point.
