He is a fan of him but I don’t think it’s the type of obsessive stalker type of fan. It looks like he genuinely became a fan of him as a child during hard times, and he has merch of him in covering his room. I believe it was coincidental that he met him. He likely pretended not to know him either out of nervousness like he didn’t want to look like a crazed fan or one of those y/n moments where you pretend to be uninterested to be cool lmaooo
