It was definitely a little manipulative. The timing and "I hope you can keep things professional" is honestly insulting to the MC after the bomb he dropped.
Rightt If it was me it’d take me a while to recover cause I’d be having mixed feelings. I’d seem too easy to forgive and manipulated kinda.
Idk ig he was honest and didn’t wanna deceive him anymore but it kinda felt arrogant too?? Idk it feels that way to me and kinda felt like he cornered the mc but ig they’ll get through it
