You don’t need imagination to read.
Maybe watch the donghua? It's coming out this year so no need to wait that long. But I recommend everyone to give the novel a try. I didn't manage to read it the first time either, but on the second try I was sucked right into the world.
Should I wait 5 years? Because i tried reading the novel but I have problem on imagination. And I just got to know this manhua/novel because of the teaser anime
