I suffered through this for such a long time and still do sometimes .
And sometimes I like characters that cannot properly evem be called SIDE characters cuz they had like barely a few minutes of screentime.
Best example I can think of is karma from BSD i literally looked through ever edits I could find and some of them were kind of just slide shows
Depends on the side characters and manhwa, because some of them have more depht. Insecret side couple has way more depth than main couple.
Total opposite of me, a lot of times I refuse to read about the side couple because ether I hate one of the characters or I hate both of them but it’s mostly because I didn’t like one of the characters in the main story so I refuse to read the side story about them, I really can’t find any webtoon comic where the side couple is as good as the main couple. I’m getting tired of the side stories being about the guy who treated the MC like shit （￣へ￣）
Indeed, 99% of side characters and side stories are shit for that reason. Insecret was the only side couple I thought have depth, main couple didn't have much depth lol. We don't need redemption arc for the crappy side characters who is now gone date MC BFF or another side character. Side stories about the main couple is way better.
I'm the total opposite XD I'm always an MC stan unless the author doesn't know how to write coz most of the time that's the problem. The plot would be so shallow thus you'd have your MCs be shitty and the only saving grace are the side charac that are always either funny or the rational ones. Like wow author u couldn't have done this in the first place smh
Why do side characters seem more interesting to me than the main characters. The only story where I like the main characters is " Guildmate next door"
