It seems you're forgetting a detail: beyond Soji's way of thinking or acting, the one who left was Yuu. We have no way of knowing if Soji would have changed his mind if Yuu hadn't left. Keep in mind that everything happened at the same time, Yuu telling him he couldn't have children, but asking her to have sex that time and then leaving while Soji was sleeping.
I'm not saying you should like Soji, just that you should consider that the one who made the decision was Yuu
but it's prob bcs I'm petty as shit but I didn't enjoy this that much?┗( T﹏T )┛sex, great, I didn't enjoy the story tho LOL.
I feel so icked/weird/petty about the fact that souji was able to have his cake and eat it too, aka spreading his seed and having yuu in the end. I understand that they were both brought up in that kind of environment where it was engrained in their mind to 'spread seeds' and they both 'consented' to part ways but I feel bad for yuu? like he prob doesn't want me feeling bad for him but LOL.
I think I'm even more petty about it after reading the first few installment of this series where by his own son is able to fight against this 'spreading seed' agenda and choose his own singular partner, granted they r able to have children but to me, his son is much stronger.
end of the day, everytime souji appears, I become petty HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA THAT'S ALL. I'M JUST BEING A PAIN IN THE ASS, A BITCH IF U WILL.
