People who are used to getting the kiss and bed scene within 1-7 chapters are surprised they have too wait for a long ass time before we get to a kiss scene, then finding out it took 200 something chapters in novel to get there and wait even longer for a intimate scene for another 200 something chapters. damn, this generation of readers here have been too spoiled to be whining about having to wait. ( Like guys, do something else while your waiting for the chapters, we all got a life and hobbies to do.)
although this one's a plot-focused slowburn, it's kinda understandable... the initial chapters CAN come off as boring (especially if you came looking for omegaverse+regression themed romance) bc it focuses on the worldbuilding with little progress on the romantic aspects. only novel readers know that it picks up pace (somewhat) once they get to the climax of the current region's arc.
plus, kishiar's flirting, og timeline scenes and novel spoiler hints probably got them frustrated even more. i feel like there should be a slowburn tag alongside the genre to make it more obvious...
anyway, although turning's more fun for those who like exploring lore and coming up with theories, i hope they hold on/let it marinate till we get to novel ch.200 to see if it appeals to them bc it's all uphill from there, both in plot and romance...
