Thats what im saying i dont understand the people who say its shit like i read for the PLOT PLOT. Every week i anticipate its new release just to get even a few more crumbs of plot development.
Like a bastard's son clawed his way to the position of His Highness. The crops are dying, rampant starvation throughout the country, his ministers are against him and the emperor is interested only in his gay lover and refuses to take a queen. Even more interesting is unlike other yandere who are focused solely on their partner, the King actually intends to stay being a king no matter how bad things get i think thats so unique. Having a different goal aside from his love life.
Everything about this story is so intriguing and i keep coming back everyweek. I also love he subtle hints like how the king put his shoes on sammyeong after he ran away and earlier also made him wear his robes. May be reading too much into it but he really likes sam myeong wearing royal robes huh
It's the little things, there's definitely a lot more going on. On first read, you'd probably think its just a minor detail or just a throw away line but Id wait with bated breath for the chapter that'll connect them all. My working theory right now is Hyungnim is actually the older brothers "companion" and top wanted hyungnim for himself.

-Sam hyungnim comments on top having a "different air to him" more raw voice and physique

-"Ninja" sneaking around the grounds and listening to maids gossip about Sam Hyungnim

-Sam Hyungnim mumbles "it hurts" and "stop" while he's drugged asleep because top is prodding his dick unto Sam Hyungnim's but hole (Did someone already fucked him?)

-Top has a dream of Sam Hyungnim returning his feelings
-Dream-hyungnim says "I raised you as a little boy of course I know how you feel" "You're... [Blurred Name]"
-1st time Top's name is blurred, more hints that he isn't who he seems?

-Top's older brother is revealed to be alive (with a hottie in tow)
