He does get a happy ending! Towards the end he gets his revenge and all (very satisfying) but is still depressed and suicidal (so expect angst even after they actually get together), but the male lead is a fantastic green flag so he's basically reborn in the best way. In the very end they're both happy together and they own a bar next to the sea where their friends, mc's colleagues, also kind of live with them
If you can't handle angst for the mc very well I wouldn't recommend it, just know that none of the angst happens because of the male lead (that's usually what would make ME not want to read it). In fact he's the reason he's able to heal
