There’s a story that has a ending like that but honestly I think it on the mc because if the main character hit him with the I love you, no matter who and what you are because you’re always in my heart that would obviously get together and become whole and my theory is, he doesn’t actually like either of them as much as he thinks he does. He just likes the idea of dating and being with someone so unless of the MC breaks up with both of them and finds a new man or comes to love them they would stay separated because he’s a bridge for them I would say feels incomplete and rushed because they could have another 30 episodes talking about their progression or have like a time skip for 10 years the obvious answer is it is in represent the disorder whatsoever it kind of just seems like a weird romanticize or a simplified version of the actual struggle people with DID go through

Yeah, i was thinking this exact same thing. It's cute or wtv but it's not exactly what I wanted for the ending. They definitely should've merged to create a whole new personality where you can see both traits and it would've been much healthier for both of them. Like wym he chose to not merge for a guy he liked
YOUR MENTAL HEALTH SHOULD COME FIRST MY GUY
I feel like this would've been more satisfying if they'd merged at the end and it showed neither personality was lost but they literally merged together to make a whole - the "new" personality remembered everything both did in the past and ML was able to express himself more healthily... Flirty sometimes, serious sometimes... MC wouldn't feel like he missed Taeoh because Taeoh was still there in the way Taejun acted and, of course, they had all the shared memories still...
I dunno. Someone else said the MC was a greedy little bitch but they don't blame him and honestly? Hard agree lol. But I still think it's unfair ML basically stayed split out of guilt towards the MC
