No fr I agree 100% she’s just another woman suffering the consequences of men using her to fulfill their own desires. She’s just a tragic character that honestly deserves so much more. Unless she tries something fucking crazy and unjustifiable I honestly don’t think I could ever hate her. And can I just say that I hate how the author has infantilized the MC so much? It just gives me the same vibes as the girl from ‘the fifth element’.

Like she's kinda innocent in the grand scheme of things. She loves the current king but that love is impossible. Then her father wants to marry her off to the duke to secure him for a rebellion that she doesn't even know is happening. She goes with it since she has no choice and being a duchess will help her gain status in life and some freedom/mobility.
Her father doesn't know that the duke is just using her and that she will never actually marry her, so she's stressed because our mc is the side chick and might weaken her position as the duchess. From her perspective, the duke is a cheating basard and mc is a bitch interfering in her marriage, a marriage that she doesn't know was always a sham and that the duke this whole time has actually been planning to take her family down.
She's just as tragic as the mc, if not more so, since she actually will fully understand everything happening to her and has always known just how little power she has in life being born a woman
