My theory is that he became an undead/maggot and forgot all his orev life's memories but he still has his sanity intact unlike others, but I think it fluctuates at time maybe?

Guwon is inhuman I’m telling y’all probably something like Frankenstein stuff happened that’s why he struggles with some human emotions and he doesn’t remember his past (because it doesn’t exist) and that’s why people in that village are kind of intimidated by/scared of him!!!
