This is a reach but i guess it is easier for them to bring the goats near the river than transport adequate amount to drink and water the plants
I mean yes but there's apparently a river, right? Basically keep the goats there 90% of the time, drag them near the town to milk them, then send them back.
Definitely more transport efficient at least
They would still need water anyways, now even more with the goats
I think we will need to turn off our logic and brains for a few chapters
