Ima just call them mc and ml for simplicity. Mc and ml have gone through 3 lifetimes together, they are currently on the 3rd one. However, the MC doesn't remember the 1st life, but he does the 2nd and actually believes the 3rd life they are in is actually a novel that he transmigrated into that is actually a retelling of their 1st lifetime. The novel protrays the 1st timeline where MC is bought at an auction and ultimately loses their baby. The 2nd life they are only friends and nothing more, but the MC dies early. The ML remembers the last 2 lifetimes and is actively trying to save this 3rd one since they are happy and prevent the MC from remembering their 1st life which is where MC committed suicide. MC thinks the 1st timeline is just a story and doesn't realize that it was him and ML doesn't know that MC thinks this is a book, just thinks he doesn't remember.

Remember that ML is like totally yandere like extreme lol the ML is mean to the MC because he was controlling and obsessed with MC and instead of communicating or understanding ML's feelings, he got angrier and angrier everytime MC would push him away. He resigned himself to just be friends in their 2nd life together because he realized how happy MC was in this one and the most important thing was that their 2nd timeline wasn't set in an omegaverse. A lot of the issues popped up because of the omega/alpha/pheromones going on. That's why in this 3rd one, the MC thinks he is pretending to be the original MC, not realizing it's himself, and tries being understanding to ML that can't just stop being an asshat. He realizes that ML is controlled by his alpha DNA and excuses his behavior but not always. I also think ML is so angry and aggressive because he's exhausted. He's on their 3rd timeline and can only worry about keeping the ML safe, even if that means ML hating him. But that's exactly how their 1st timeline unfolded, which is why the MC is putting effort to prevent that because he still thinks it's a novel.
so all this time mc thinks that the 3rd life is all fiction, and that his real life is his 2nd life???? im confused, how did he die on his 2nd life though? i just remember the mc waking up being the mc of the book he was reading...
Actually ML has a moment where he remembers everything and is pissed off at himself for possibly ruining another lifetime, so when he was being mean, he had actually just forgotten the first 2 lifetimes
