I completely agree except I don't think the mangaka has passed. She has published some work in recent years, I think the most recent is 2017 but I haven't seen or heard news of her passing. This work won't be continued because she hasn't come back to it since.
People be complaining about the story having a shitty ending but it didn't really end, the author had to stop due to health issues and might have passed already.
