Objectively the story is not of the highest quality lmao but I love it so much. The villains may have the IQ of a peanut BUT I can forgive it because the FL is such a baddie that isn’t all bark and no bite. She actually does shit herself and I find the ML’s trust and unconditional support more satisfying and romantic than the typical ML’s overprotectiveness. Of course the main couple has major plot armor and asspulls haha but I appreciate the little details that ground them as characters for example: despite putting up this perfect and confident/nonchalant front, the FL still gets shy and is a bit dense at times, whereas ML is initially unconventionally awkward dealing with FL romantically. It makes sense for both of their characters since neither of them had someone they could genuinely trust and receive affection from before. I love the parallels that are constantly made between the FL and the characters she becomes close with (seeing parts of her past self in Sing, Zephon, Anne), it gives more depth to their relationships and doesn’t feel like being nice just because “the mc must be loved by others” like it often does in other romfan slops. Another thing is I LOVE SING. He’s so freaking cute and his pure devotion is beautiful, I’m glad they didn’t make him in love with FL, he’s genuinely so happy whenever he sees HER happy and respected by her husband. Im so giddy that he’s been relevant to the plot lately, the little details they add for him are SO CUTE, like the stuffed dog plushies on his desk that he made for himself ╥﹏╥ please give him to me Empress Larcy… in conclusion this may be romfan slop but it’s relatively GOOD slop and it’s MY slop
