
Yes, that is the author 's plan but he is no saviour when he completely dehumanized Tae by keeping him in chains and taking him out on a leash, even forcing him too pee himself by refusing to take him to the bathroom, not to mention the sexual and mental abuse Tae suffered is weighing him down and if anyone gave him the choice of being "saved" by Heeseo or die he would choose to die without hesitation. Heeseo did not save Tae, that is the excuse he tells himself to feel less like a monster but he only ruined Tae's life by abusing him so much that his mental stability will never fully recover, he will live traumatized and depressed for the rest of his life because Heeseo "saved" him.
