I'm not saying I favour that toxic man but he's portrayed as in love and obsessed with her? when he didn't give a shit where she'll go after being released from prison? It's her pure luck that she met Susie and ended here but did she had any other alternative? I can think of many MANY possibilities of what can happen to a girl that has no one she can rely on AND is also alone on the streets.
