I want to write a lengthy comment about I always saw the emperor as a demi-god, devoid of emotion. A god who plays chess does not love or care for his chess piecer. So I could never hate him fully. I'd love for him to have a loong arc, not a redemption one, but one where he understood how much he had hurt the people around him, how lonely he was and how much better things would end up if he simply learned how to love, or just feel and accept human emotions. But the comment is already long enough and I gotta pee so goodbye.
