I agree, the only time I dislike nepo babies is when they are all entitled and expect everyone to cater to them or simply put it they are incompetent at the position they are given. Hazuki however works hard and even tries to make time for his kids and spouse. I'd say he is one of the nepo babies who'll live upto his mam's expectation. And I think Shizuku just might end up next in line.

It’s simply jealousy. Nepo babies go against the grain of the social construct that “if you want something, you have to work for it”. They don’t have to put in the same amount of work just because their parents/grandparents etc already did. Just because they have talent doesn’t mean that it justifies them being a nepo baby.

But the term “nepo baby” has such a negative connotation that some people just hate it on sight. Being a nepo baby doesn’t mean that they’re automatically a terrible person or not talented. Example being hazuki (even if he’s fake but I’m choosing to believe there are “good” nepo babies out there). In general I’m kinda neutral about them.

This is what I always find weird. I mean people are okay if some person whose parents own a diner or a restaurant or may be a shop, inherits it from their parents but if that restaurant is an upscale well reknowned one or if its a grand hotel like in Hazuki's case, its called nepotism? Its the same with connections, if you are from workig class and your parents help you get a job through connections its okay but if your parent is some CEO, its again nepotism.

Yep as soon as the profitability of the business changes from a local business/mom n pop store to a multimillion dollar company, the connotation changes if you inherit the family business. It’s a weird phenomenon which is why I’m neutral about the topic itself
