Ppl hating on the mc !

I often see comments here where people complain how the MC acts “childish” and I want to come to the MC defence.

1. The memories of the mc came back, but that doesn’t mean her mind did.

So what I mean by this, is that the mc as a child has flashes of memories going though her mind of what “happened” in the future, but it doesn’t mean the maturity will suddenly be there considering her physical and mental state of her body is a child.

Picture this; you as a child go into an autobiography movie about your life from beginning to end and watches it. It doesn’t mean when you leave you suddenly have the wisdom to be able to comprehend everything despite watching from the start to the end.
And ignoring this “watching your whole life” movie example, even as a kid I can assure that a majority of you didn’t understand the symbolism and themes of something like Avatar (blue ppl) until you’ve gotten older (controversial cos ppl still don’t lol.)

That’s essentially what happens to the MC, even if she regressed, transmigrated etc etc, it’s really just memories entering a child’s brain. AN UNDEVELOPED child’s brain might I add as she 1. Is a child, 2. Died before even her brain could reach maturity, and 3. The memories being unreliable and pointless! 1 + 1

    2. A sense of realism

This is a webtoon, so obviously realism is tossed out in stories like these, but I think we as readers have been “pampered.” So much by stories like these that there’s this unrealistic expecting on how characters should act.

Personally I LOVE how the MC is a realistic child! Not a genius who’s able to calculate and plan every move and somehow obtain a massive amount of wealth, but a genuine child who cares for childish things! Who hates eating their vegetables and still has whimsy and fun!

    This is a CHILD!

In conclusion ^ I love how this MC acts and I find it as a refreshing take. Her still acting as a child is understandable and realistic, so hopefully this helps.

Also considering the fact that the mc is unsure if she is actually reborn or not since she can’t remember her past life. All she knows is that she thinks she’s in a book and knows what will happen in the future. But now that future won’t happen since the ogfl is ‘dead’ and the three ogmls are with her three sisters.

Even with the memories, she just continues to act like she was before. She is a kid, I think she’s like 6 or 7. She doesn’t need to act mature, especially since she died when she was 14, still a kid.

Ngl this is what i wish happens with isekai/reincarnation stories more. Where they just stay as their original character with these new memories. Half the time they dont even utilize the “modern lifestyle” of the memories and just use it as an excuse to make the mcs more relatable to the audience

I’ve read plenty of childcare/isekai with adult soul in a child’s body but I honestly prefer this kind of take where they regain their memories bit by bit while they still act their age or regain it when they’re already an adult.
