I get that she took him away on the day his mom died, but how was she supposed to predict that? He then associated his mother dying with Agnes and started being mean af. They went from a warm relationship to strained and the young princess probably didn't understand or accept it so she became obsessive. She was also probably told by her father and brother who spoiled her that she was going to marry him no matter what. Both of them were at fault, but here we can see Raymond is really in the wrong. He is just manipulative and narcissistic.

Ofc, I’m not saying that she was supposed to be aware of the situation and act accordingly. They were both children and they both were hurting. But circumstances happened and it caused them to drift apart with misunderstandings and feeling of hurt. I’m just saying that I sympathise with that particular moment because that was the catalyst that caused the change in their relationship. I’m expressing my dissatisfaction of the story trying to make him into a villain just for the sake of it. It feels very awkward and forced

I get what you're saying, and I agree that the story is making him a villain bc he didn't return her affection. I thought it was messed up until the story took us deeper into his psyche and we can see that he has these narcissistic and manipulative thoughts. Like, he can be as mean as he wants, she belongs to him, and so on.
But I did think it was messed up when the maids, the king, and the whole kingdom was against Raymond for not wanting to be a baby sitter when the OG FL was a stalker, obsessive, and crazy. But since she changed and left him alone, he should have accepted that and dipped, him turning twisted is making himself into the bad guy like his dad.

Yeah, I found it surprising to see a deep dive into his psyche and how he was a little coocoo- when the thing he wanted most had come to fruition. It felt like his dislike for OG FL was a joke. Now he’s going around talking about how she made him obsessed with her and wanting her back.. I was disappointed to see him turn into this weirdo creep who’s but belittling our ML. And I fully agree that he should have just left it at that. It feels forced to put him as a rival with a narcissistic and classist way of thinking. Let him be some kind of villain on his own. Without the added bonus of being obsessed with FL.
Raymond actually had a pretty valid reasoning behind his dislike for the original Agnes but ofc for the story- they really just had to make him out to be this pathetic and obsessive guy..
