I think the guy was raped in the gym on his old school and the other guy saw it - but didn't helped him.
Thats why he is alive and should remember and the rapists are murdered by him. Thats my Theory

the plot is not exactly going anywhere, not that it's bad (i mean slow is alright) but we all need to know why the guy is doing that to him!
I doubt the guy is going to gain feelings for him after all the shit he has done to him.
