I plan to do the same when that happens. If the situation itself is like that, then it is no different from ml’s past relationship where he constantly had to sacrifice his self and comfort for the sake of another person. It means that it is nothing but a repeat of his past relationship (same situation, different girl), implying that there wasn’t any personal growth on his part - meaning that being in a relationship with fl ultimately doesn’t benefit him or support his own growth as a person. I’ll also be incredibly disappointed with fl since she already realized the problem but didn’t do anything to help ml address his issues.
i like how she recognized that ml’s way of loving seems excessive, to the point that it is at the expense of his self. it honestly feels like he defines his own existence through the eyes of the person he loves. he’s so full of love, he didn’t left some for himself. i hope their relationship can grow into something that encourages their personal growth, and not in a way that it tolerates it :)) I’m glad the author addressed ml’s lack of self consideration or self love, albeit indirectly
