As Ceaser said, this guy really cares abt status. So, it’s hard to say that he even really loved Adele if he so easily was able to “discard” her when he found out that she wasn’t really a buonaparte.
True!!! Tbh he fell in love too quickly imo so I’m not surprised if he does discard her just for that fact. I hope she recovers swiftly tho from heartbreak if she was in love with him
Based on some spoilers I’ve read from someone’s comment, Esdra had potential. Apparently they were in love, but he got all “ew” about finding out she’s a shoe cleaner. Also Adele is a mermaid, the main thing that high society start off their greetings and farewells. Like I get him being all butthurt since the marriage was a sham, and no point trying to fix it even she’s a mermaid, but Ceaser as end goal
