This is a headache

but it's so interesting to see this kind of dynamic, especially the one between daon, soohyun, and jaemin.

Daon:
"He likes anyone who's kind to him." There is truth to that and jaemin used that over him, yet it's his fear as well. Daon is insecure, gullible, and easily swayed. Daon can't receive love properly bc of these things but his love for soohyun and jaemin was genuine. But bc of jaemin's doing, it evolved into a very complex emotion during those 10 years.

Soohyun:
I get his appeal. There's something intoxicating about his relationship with daon, but only because we're viewers from the outside. I was rooting for him in the first half but was shocked when he slapped daon across the face. They had a chance back in college but Soohyun blew it when he let himself be part of Jaemin's nonsensical plans. Which confused me bc Soohyun is a confident guy yet he agreed to all that... I guess they're all stupid in their own ways.

Jaemin:
"He doesn't know what he wants, or who he needs." Imo, he's the most complex and hateable character here. Jaemin is a selfish, egotistic, and self-serving bitch. He never helped Daon with genuine intentions, it was a way of binding Daon to him but making him feel indebted. We need more story on why he is that way – why he had to take such a roundabout way of showing his love for Daon. Heck, it might not even be love atp. Obsession, possessiveness.... he might be clinically insane actually.

The "Daon x soohyun" and "daon x jaemin" pairings are doomed trauma bonds. I believe Daon needed to completely severe himself from those two for him to be truly happy with himself and in a relationship. The only likeable character is Seunghyoon. He played the begging puppy-like lover quite well. Cliche character design but he held his ground and wasn't a complete pushover.

The drama was smth else but I'm satisfied with how this turned out.
