I heard that's normal with boxers, they've probably gotten to that shape because of the fighting or something like that
Look like infected, swollen ears. Mine literally looked like this when I got a bad piercing.
Cauliflower ears

it's a nice touch from the author, if you watch professional boxing and other sports like it you'll notice most athletes have "weird looking ears" too
