Also adding onto this. The fact that everyone around Cain could tell something was off about Syd or had a feeling that he was going to betray Cain sooner or later. Everyone except Cain because he desperately wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and he just betrayed everyone ughhh
I LOVE rereading this story and I always start from the beginning, one of the few where I do
But still every time I reread it I hate Syd more and more and when I remember he gets his happy ending I get so upset. Cause majority of this was his fault.
Not to mention he harassed and traumatized Joon's childhood friend so much when this all started out. Like I'm so glad he healed with the Doctor. Cause my first time reading this I hated the childhood friend just cause he had a crush on Joon and how he'd act around Joon but even during those times reading about him and Syd made me ICCCKKKKK. Felt so uncomfy reading those scenes. Again, so glad he healed with the doctor.
And then even after not seeing him in so long Syd goes and assaults him again like bro. Of course you don't deserve to be loved at that point and ever. Cain and Joon better than me cause they forgave him and THEN had him watch over their kids??? Better than me fr
