title & plot?

sisyphus is known for tricking a figure from hell, and suspending death until that figure could escape. in some, he tricks hades, in others, tartarus. this is why he's punished to do the same arduous task every day. so the undead are definitely connected with the title in that aspect.

i do think guwon is connected to the undead, but not that he's the cause of the undeath (sisyphus), he's much more like frankenstein's monster from the original novel. he's lonely, sensitive, wants to learn and be moral. frankenstein's full title is "frankenstein, or a modern prometheus." prometheus stole fire from the gods and gifted it to humanity, which can be interpreted as progress, survival, hope, even life itself. prometheus was also much less self serving than sisyphus, which i think is also reflected in guwon and his desire for a healthy, well-planned community and his care for others, even though they're afraid of him. survival as a gift from a loving titan.

so i assume that, this being in the zombie apocalypse genre, and its connections to greek tragedy, the ending will be upsetting but beyond that, i have no idea. i love the mysteries in this. there's so much potential & i think author has a lot to hit us with.
