It's waaay more entertaining the flashback than the actual present.

    I think it’s because we couldn’t relate to the characters before, we needed the backstory to develop any sorta of feelings (good or bad) about them. Also, re-reading it, you can see that “it was all over the screen but we as an audience couldn’t see it for the lack of information”… it’s giving PLL (Pretty Little Liars), we met the girls when Allison disappeared only then we get to understand everything that happened that night and the weight of the impact of each one of the girls to get there.

    I think u have a point. It feels like everything's coming into its place. These flashbacks added a lot of depth on them and to their dinamics.
