10/10 — REALISTICALLY GOOD ENDING!

I liked how it ended with them still in college—it makes their story feel unfinished in a good way. It was short, since it cuts off right when Hyobin finally makes their relationship “official.” Hyobin took time to understand his feelings, which makes sense since he never saw himself in a same-sex relationship before.

Was Gichan wrong for hiding his casual relationship with Shinyoung? Yes, but he’s a well-written character with realistic flaws. At that time, he was still “courting” Hyobin. But given that they were already intimate, their relationship felt fragile, especially since they started as BFF. Avoiding Shinyoung is good for Hyobin’s mental health for now, but I wish Gichan had at least explained why—he owed Shinyoung that much, considering he was there for Gichan when he needed a listening ear.

Overall, this story feels raw and realistic. It doesn’t rush into a perfect love story but explores confusion, personal growth, and the risks of redefining a 10yrs friendship. The open-ended nature makes it even more compelling—there’s still room for them to grow, both individually and as a couple. (▰˘◡˘▰)
