love and hate are pretty similar. There is a blurred line in between so I am not surprised Nanahisa's hate started to turn into love. I feel it makes sense, with how volatile his character was/is. Abused and all as a kid (I think he was wasn't he), it's pretty easy for some people to get obsessed/attached to others, because of love or because of hate.

i do agree somewhat and yes authors like to play on plot of "it's a thin line between love and hate " but it's just poorly executed in this instance - imo at least
also the timeframe between nanahisa going from "i hate you" to "i love you" was instant, cause he catches feels immediately after stabbing tsubaki... it's so nonsensical to me
i don't recall nanahisa being abused as a kid, iirc that was his sister that got kidnapped and SAed by a pervert
bro i don't get this twink ass nanahisa character... like he literally stabbed tsubaki a couple of chapters ago so why is he screaming at the hospital acting all protective now
the way the author wrote nanahisa is so ugh, it kills my braincells
bro hated tsubaki for a major portion of his life, stabbed him BUT wait wait all of a sudden he is in love and wants to protect him bruh... literally wattpad lvl of writing
i love this manga but the nanahisa plot device is sooo bad and cringey
