To those who call Secretary Jung-Ah selfish or anything like that,

Remember, she’s an outsider, just an employee who happened to fall for Soeun, her mistress. She did her duty well by keeping Jitae safe in that insane family, and now everyone is rushing to criticize her just because she wants Jitae to focus on revenge?

Do you even know what real selfishness is? Soeun is gone. Jung-Ah could have completely abandoned Jitae to survive by himself and gone off to find another beautiful woman to love. But she didn’t move on, she stayed, continuing to support Jitae. And honestly, if she had moved on and left him behind, who could blame her? Tell me.

Wake up!

What does Jung-Ah owe Jitae, besides the fact that he’s the son of the person she deeply loved?
Jitae isn’t even like Soeun, he doesn’t treat Jung-Ah with warmth like a sister. He sees her purely as a servant. So why should Jung-Ah care about him?
Did Jitae ever care about her?

Jitae treats no one as important except Mieum, and that’s fine, he gets all the understanding. But if someone else doesn’t love Jitae unconditionally (like your so pure, perfect little angel Mieum), suddenly it’s a crime? Yeah, sure. You all act like without Jung-Ah looking after him, Jitae would have survived long enough to meet his one and only angel Mieum. LOL.

I know a lot of people worship Jitae to the point where they don’t even want to acknowledge how ridiculous and ungrateful he is. He treats the one person who’s always been by his side, protect him like she’s nothing, still orders Jung-Ah around while mocking and taunting her. Idc i defense my girl.

I guess the fate of side characters is that no matter how much they sacrifice or help the main character, if they don’t love them unconditionally and dare to have personal desires, they’ve committed a serious crime. LOL.

I don’t even like Jung-Ah, but the way people are so desperate to hate on her is honestly hilarious.

I don’t disagree with you but he could’ve survived without her tbh it just wouldn’t have been as good as this because the lady that has been thinking she has him under her control could have killed him a long time ago but the grand father is the one that kept him alive for his own amusement. Jitae could have been dead but they decided to keep him alive but him being grateful to her isn’t as easy as it seems especially when she hid everything from him and he found out on his own. Yes she could have left like you said but at the same time he has no reason to be grateful to someone that wants him to act on revenge and hid the truth about his mom from him. And I don’t dislike her but I’m just saying you wouldn’t be happy about that either, and I get that she lobed his mother but she could have at least told him something. And she didn’t come to help him until a while later.

??? You still think Jung-Ah is obligated to help Jitae even though she only promised to keep an eye on him? Basically, just being there to support and stay by Jitae’s side is enough to fulfill her duty. And you’re saying Jitae has no obligation to be grateful to her just because she hid the fact that Mieum wasn’t involved in his mother’s death? He never respected or treated her well even before that. Did you even read the story properly?

Even though she was labeled the “adopted sister” of Jitae’s mother, Jitae was never kind to her. The author made it clear that Jitae, since childhood, never cared about anyone except Mieum. Go back and read chapter 54 before replying to me. He was indifferent even before knowing about Mieum, which gives Jung-Ah even more reason to not have any fondness for him. Stop defending Jitae so mindlessly. From the beginning, he wanted to avenge his mother, so why is he blaming Jung-Ah for pushing him to focus on revenge?

And where did you get the idea that Jung-Ah only started helping Jitae much later? She was following him since Soeun was still alive. Did you misread something? Or are you so convinced that Jitae cared about no one but Mieum that you assumed he really had no one by his side? Read the story carefully.

I’m not denying that Jung-Ah wasn’t fully devoted to Jitae, but from the start, she only cared about his mother, she had no obligation to him. Just being around to support him until now is already more than generous. What, do you think Jung-Ah is his mother or something, that she has to take responsibility for him?

Oh, so according to your naïve logic, when you rely on and ask someone for help countless times, you’re allowed to look down on them just because they kept a secret from you while still continuing to order them around as you please? Sure, your Jitae is always right. Everyone else is just wrong.
