So true except Ludovika idk why but her character gives me ick.
I try not to form an opinion on her yet considering all the information we get abt her are from unreliable men who were obsessed with her, js from the looks of it tho i like the idea of her being an ambitious person, although idk yet if that means she was malicious too
I actually really like her character. Why settle for a man who couldn't even bother to make a move to confess? Obviously, Ludovika did take someone else's man (I believe the current empress was the emperor's og fiance? Would have been better if the man's single ┗( T﹏T )┛) but regarding their relationship, I totally understand why Vika refused Johan for Max. Johan is totally unreliable. Damn man don't want to ruin his reputation nor his family's, but ruining Shuri's fine? (︶︿︶)＝凸
That is also true... but I'm not complaining her about being ambitious but her wierd relationship with Johannes (maybe after marriage...also I don't know her side of story yet so it's bad to judge her now) but then again I read somewhere duke Albrecht (Nora's father) also liked/(maybe loved) her. I'm just frustrated why men in this story just can't move on from their past.
I'm also happy that she chooses emperor over Johannes cause he's not ready to give what she wanted. But here I'm more angry or feel disappointed on Johannes because because of this he ruined two life one former Marchioness and now Shuri's.
And also I’m actually more upset with the current empress because of how poorly she treats her second son because she constantly (maybe) comparing her son to the first one who's ludovika's son and because of ludovika the emperor rejected her and she faces humiliation and whatnot which was not her fault But now, she’s repeating that same toxic cycle with her own child and just care for good for nothing emperor and the first born.
I know I'm yapping a lot but seriously, when I imagine myself in the empress’s shoes, it just makes me feel awful

I love where the story is heading bcs its abt to get crazy. I feel so bad for Jeremy cus its already hard enough that hes suppressing his feelings for her, but now stupid rumors are circulating simply bcs he isn’t married yet and ppl simply cant believe that Shuri is staying bcs she loves the family??? Also amazing way of showing us the backstory behind Johan and Ludovika, perfect timing with the issues that Shuri and Jeremy are going to face. Honestly Johan is absolutely pathetic, he had every opportunity to be with Ludovika and yet he asks her to give up her marriage?? She asked him for action snd all he cld provide was useless yearning. And now that yearning has led to this stupid sense of entitlement to Shuri in belief that this is fate for him to make up for what he cldnt with Ludovika. Honestly the children and women of this story are all victims. I love this story so much, every character is so immensely complex and im literally sweating thinking abt the issues with the trial, Nora’s friends, and the church. Also laughable that the Cardinal now wants to be bestie besties with Shuri now that he sees her as another “enlightened one”. As much as I hate him, seeing him grip after her in that confessional kinda made me giggle.
